I’m very happy with my pretty pillowcase! I made it using fabric scraps alone. The red and blue/turquoise combination works quite well, don’t you think?
The circles were interfaced separately and meticulously hand-stitched (!!!) to the patchwork “quilt sandwich”. My fingers are not used to so much hand-quilting! Note to self: use a thimble. And find a pattern suitable for machine-quilting! I gave up trying to machine-applique along the borders of the circle perfectly…

I’m glad you like it! It took some effort but I’m so pleased with the result and it only inspired me to experiment more. With two expectant mothers around me I may even make a few baby quilts.

These look like a great way to use up scrap material, and your hand-stitching is so even and neat – good work :)

Thank you! Yes, it’s so rewarding to find use for the fabric that has been piling up… And it’s nice to make something pretty without my usual “donation” to the fabric store! :-)
