made from vintage simplicity pattern #8709 – view 2. maybe my favorite pattern ever. it was easy to follow and fit perfectly. i left off the poofy sleeves for this one. i will definitely be making more of these in different patterns. i also think switching out the belts to create different looks will be fun. i was afraid of how this one would turn out because i thought the large gingham print might be too much, but i like how it turned out.
cotton plaid shirting, about 1.25 yards ($1.74/yd). strip of heavy weight interfacing for the belt. 22" vintage cream colored zipper. total cost about $3.25.
