After doing clothing, quilts and home-decoration I decided to go back to the roots and finally sew another bag! I drafted the pattern myself but was inspired by the Multi-Tasking Tote in Lisa Lam´s wonderful Bag Making Bible.
I use to carry a lot of stuff with me all the time so the bag is quite big (approx. 18×14×8 inch or 45×35×20 cm) and has 6 inside and 2 outside pockets. Additionally it has popper snaps on the outside, which give the bag a nice shape but can be opened when I put even more in or look for something.
All fabrics are from Ikea and I was positively surprised to find some fabrics which don´t look tipically Ikea-like. The combination of grass green, cherry red gingham and abundant roses brought me to the name of the bag – Picnic in August.
