This was a skirt made for my daughter’s masquerade 25th birthday party. Although I used the Pick-up Skirt technique here on Burda Style, my skirt was a floor length. So befor inserting the pick-ups it was around 3 feet longer than needed. I also wanted jewels to embelish the pick-ups, which can get expensive. I found a way around that by taking apart some costume jewelry rings from the dollar store and stitching them on.
Used a taffeta for the the garment with a coordinating underling in Blackberry from Joann Fabric & Crafts
