This dress I made last year for the fashion show at my school. I was a junior. It is a non-textile dress made out of photo negatives. I hand sewed 136 negatives, with copper/sparkle thread, to a muslin dress of which I created the pattern for myself. The heart bow, attached to the train, is also hand stitched together. All of the negatives on the train are attached by machine.I also made a purse out of the Kodak package that the pictures come in when they are ordered and printed, the strap is made out of negatives also. Everyone was amazed at the show and I was even amazed I could accomplish such a project. It took me a total of 36 hours to complete.
Take off with pleats, cut-outs, insets, and futuristic prints.
