This was made from a piece of hammered satin (looks like metallic from a distance.) The asyametric waistline is embellished with crystal beadwork. The black organza ruffles were made with a circular ruffle technique that I learned years ago while working at a major university in the theater department. We used this technique for making flaminco skirts for the dance dept. I used fishing line the stiffen the edges.
