I needed a pettiskirt, aka crinoline, to wear with some of my circle skirts, so instead of having to shell out the ridiculous amount of money for one I decided to make my own! I did some research for pettiskirt tuts and found that the best one comes from Sugardale she does a fabulous job of explaining this and helps with the math too! For mine, though, I did tweak it to fit what I was looking for. At my blog Takin’ It One Stitch At A Time you can find more infon on how I created mine, and also see pics of my circle skirts with and without the pettiskirt.

Your petticoat looks great and I have put it into my favourites so I can follow your blog when I make one for each of my 3 nieces. I would love to see a photo of you wearing one of your circle skirts and your petticoat underneath. Many thanks for your research tips too.
