The petticoat for this outfit is easily made, and can be a skirt also.
Materials:
measuring tape, fabric, 3/4" elastic (no roll), scissors, pins
Measurments:
waist, hip, completed length
Before purchasing fabric, get the measurements and work this formula:
hip + 4 (child) or+8 (adult) X 1.5 =___A____ (or you can measure the bottom of a favorite dress or skirt and use that measurement for A)
completed length + 2" for casing and hem = ___B___
You need a rectange of fabric that is A (wide) by B (long).
You can make the petticoat fuller by increasing A as desired.
I made this skirt shorter and added the ruffle trim.
