Unitard with flesh inserts and lots and lots of things sewn on the top! This costume started life as a plain white unitard which I then dyed green to get the mottled effect. Fabric paint was added on in the final stages of construction as I felt the costume needed more depth. The flesh sleeve was probably the most difficult part to do as some of the leaves had to be sewn on once the sleeve was in place and this proved to be a bit hard with lots of rotating of the fabric! I have put in a few photos showing a bit of how I progressed through the making of this costume.
Cotton lycra, panne velvet, various other stretch fabrics. Dye. Glitter fabric glue/paint.
