I made this yesterday afternoon as a birthday present for a little friend of mine. I used a track suiting fabric, a black sequin fabric and ribbing. The whole process of drafting the pattern, doing the applique on the front and construction took 5 hours. I flatlocked the seams and overlocked the ribbing at the neckline, cuffs and hem so that it will stretch. I’m pretty pleased with the outcome but I think that the ‘standard’ 9 year old measurements that I used are way too big so I hope it will fit ok.
