Fabric used for this was a heavy jersey knit in ox blood or burgundy.
Because this dress had an underdress, it was perfect for wearing in the winter. I brought a coat with me just in case since the back was out, but I never needed.
No alterations. The dress was very easy to sew. I used fusible hem tape to hold the hem in place before sewing a top stitch.
