I have been seeing peplum blouses everywhere this year and wanted to give it a shot. I used stretch fabric and it turned out to be a cure, comfortable top!

Is it easy to make the peplum part, just noticed the actual top doesn’t have one, damn, and I really like yours.

Sorry if my post was confusing! I made alteration to the original Burda pattern. but It is very easy.
1. first, decide where you want your peplum part to start on the bodice, then draw the line. (I think it’s most flattering if you make this the thinnest part of your torso. Mine was exactly at the waist line of the pattern)
2. measure the line. you can do either front and back separately or combined.
3. decide how long the peplum part should be.
4. draw a ractangle using step 2 and step 3 measurement.
5. draw lines 1-2" apart perpendicular to the step 2 measurement.
6. cut those lines, and split & spread the rectangle, and smoothe lines to make the peplum pattern.
I hope that helps!

Beautiful! Very flattering, and the color is nice. I’ve been wanting to make one too, but I don’t think it would be as flattering on a bigger frame.

Thanks!! I think the peplum makes one look thinner as long as it starts at the thinnest part of the torso:)

I used burda bustier pattern from 02/2011 issue! I cut off the part below the waist and added peplum :)
