I’ve been wanting to make a peplum dress for months (who haven’t after the SS12 runway?!) and some free tickets to the races have finally prompted me into making one.
I used Simplicity Project Runway 2282 for this project, and made a couple of minor alterations – including shortening the sleeves, the bodice and the skirt. I was very happy with the final result – I love how wearable the dress is, and the retro details (the peplum, the slightly puffy sleeves and even the high neckline which provides the perfect balance to the peplum).
Lots more photos and details on the making of this dress is blogged here
The lines of Greek architecture inspire this neutral and pastel collection.
