I fell in love with this pattern when I saw February’s issue of Burda magazine, it’s a classic elegant pencil skirt that fits beautifully, even though I didn’t use stretch fabric as recommended. I made up 2, one in houndstooth wool and one in cotton. Both skirts are fully lined.

They’re both looking great, and fit you so well. I should give it a try, would love to see how some striped fabric would look with this. P.S. thanks for the lovely comments on my “S” coat. ;-)

Thank you and you’re welcome ;) The february print issue of Burda magazine featured a version of the skirt in pinstripe that looks very classy. I may well make another one in a similar fabric…

Very classy, in classic fabrics, especially teamed with the seamed stockings! So glad you posted your version to prove that it doesn’t need a stretch fabric… I was wondering if it was poss! :-)

Thank you! I made the skirt in size 36 (my regular size for Burda patterns) and it’s very snug around the hips, but still loose enough to walk, sit down etc. It would probably be more comfortable in stretch fabric, but I like my pencil skirts to be slightly restrictive so prefer non-stretch fabric.
