This is a tale about a piece of fabric, a pencil skirt, some buttons and a determined newbie seamstress.
Was I going to try and make a bag out of one piece of fabric? Yes. Was that really going to work out for me? No. Did I have any other fabric that could help me out in this endeavour? Not really.
But wait! There was a pencil skirt milling about from those days when I was going to be a pencil-skirt-wearing girl (that’s a whole other story for another time).
Somewhere along the way, the fabric, the skirt and the buttons actually worked out to become a bag which shall now be carried around proudly by this newbie seamstress.
Don’t you just love a happy ending?
