Burda Style For people who sew
Description
After having some leftovers from the last pair of pants we made, my buddys wife wanted to have the skirt from burdastyle magazine 09/2010 #116 . It’s so nice to only need less than a meter for a size 42. While sewing we noticed that it’s important, to have a consistent seam allowance, otherwise you end up with a longer front part than back part – which happened to us. We balanced that through a shorter seam allowance at the waistline where the lining was attached. Due to that mistake the seam zipper ended up a bit below the waistline, but besides that, it turned out very well. I was pleasantly surprised, as was my buddy and his wife.
It is so ungrateful to try to photograph fabric in grey, especially in charcoal grey, so forgive me, if the defines contours of the skirt aren’t as good visible, as I liked them to be.

When I saw this skirt in the September issue of Burdastyle magazine I was just beside myself with joy! I want to make this in the worst way and now after seeing your lovely version of it, I just want it even more! What a great job and it looks divine!

I’d like to try this pattern too, so it’s good news, that it doesn’t eat up a lot of fabric. It looks very pretty on the lady!
