I made the pattern for these delicious printed pants using Kenneth King’s amazing Craftsy.com “Jeanius” class, which teaches you how to reverse engineer your fave pair of jeans/pants. I copied a pair of fitted, cropped tuxedo pants, and used a printed stretch cotton from Hartsfabric.com. I added a leather detail along the front slant pockets. Though the print is actually an abstract brush stroke, it definitely reads a little like leopard from afar (hence the Peg Bundy reference). I’ve had problems figuring out the best way to draft and install the waistband (read about it on my blog, if you like: Beau Baby
but I love them just the same!
