Peasant top and ruffle pants for Izzy

I took a class yesterday to make a peasant top and double ruffle pants at my local Fabric Shop. It was a really fun class and lasted all day! The patterns are from the book “Little Girls, Big Style” by Mary Abreu. This is a great book and has 4 basic patterns to make over 23 different projects. I made mine in a size 2. I finally learned how to do shirring and it really is easy to do. You just have to make sure the tension is right and you have your elastic thread in your bobbin correctly. I will be making more of these outfits!!! I love how they turned out. Oh and I gave this outfit to my granddaughter today for her 2nd Birthday. Happy Sewing everyone!

Material Notes

Cotton, elastic, elastic thread.

Welcome to Burdastyle Mary!!!!! I LOVE your book!!! Am currently planning (along with my daughter of course) the next project for my little Izzy to parade around in. She looks so adorable in the outfit. You can see her on another post on here wearing the outfit. Funny thing was she would not think of putting it on for her mommy but when they brought the outfit over to the house one day I asked her if she would be my little “model” and show Grama how pretty she was she jumped at the chance and looks adorable in it. I would love to ask you a few questions when I am ready to start my next adventure in your book. Oh and I sure can’t wait until you post some of your “lovelies” on here!!! Happy Sewing!!!!!!
