I had a little piece of very old cotton lawn and the desire for an old-fashioned summer top, so I altered the Sorbetto pattern to have a gathered top and sleeves. Sorbetto has 60’s slim vibe, but this time the vintage fabric put me in mind to make an old-fashioned top to wear with a long linen gathered skirt, like some sort of an idealized Italian peasant babe in a 1950s Cinema Neo Realismo film.
All the dirt is here.
The fabric is a very fine vintage cotton lawn bound with vintage bias tape.

Love your version….now I’ve seen one with sleeves I might well be tempted!
