I purchased this fabric at Walmart for a $1.00 a yard. I’m happy with the end result but the fabric is little too patchworky for me. It does go with the overall look of the dress. I used a Burda maternity pattern which now I realize needs to be retired. Even though, I took a few inches from the front skirt, I still look kinda pregnant. I did use decorative stitches to hem for the first time since I bought my fancy sewing machine.

I really like this dress! The fabric is so cute and, as you said, perfectly matches the style of the dress!

love that fabric – i don’t think that it looks very maternity. However, having just come off of a pregnancy, I totally understand that there are certain looks that you don’t want to see on your bod in an unpregnant state. regardless, it is a really cute dress.

I like the style a lot too and I actually like the fabric. I am drawn to older looking patterns.
Nice dress!
