A complete outfit this time! 50th anniversary do to go to….
I drafted myself a skirt pattern and put in deep diagonal pockets at the front as i quite like this look. Its made out of peacock blue silk dupioni and blue anti-static lining for the inside, I put an exposed ykk zipper at the back and the waist band is made from leatherette….unforunately when trying to iron the skirt part it left a bit of an iron melt mark on the leatherette :-( hopefully noone will see! Bit of a pain to line as well because there was hardly any room on the zipper tape to attach it too…sigh.
The top is the great cowl neck dress by ichigogirl. Such a fab pattern. This one is shortened and made from silky jersey.
Set of earrings made too…i dont have pierced ears but there were fun to make! will have to give them as a present hehehe.

Hi, not really i just drew it on some paper, its a simple pencil skirt pattern, then draw diagonals where the pockets want to be, then use that to draft the pocket shape..waist band is just rectangles. Not a great explanation but hope that helps a little! Maybe i’ll make it again and try and do a how-to or save the pattern, could be a few weeks though.

Hi! Great outfit. I have a piece of metallic blue silk and was planning on making a mini skirt from this free pattern http://burdafashion.com/de/Download/Gratis-Schnitte/1333669-1413206-1553996.html but I’m wondering what I can wear with this colour in the winter, other than the obvious all black. Ideas?

I love this :) I love the colour blue – I’ve always wondered how to do those diagonal pockets on the front of skirts, was it difficult? I hope you enjoy the do anyway :D Always good to see Brits on here too :D
