This project took some time to finish because I had to PAINT the feathers onto the bustle. I have no real talent when it comes to painting but it was a lot cheaper than buying peacock feathers.
The corset it make up of three different fabrics and was inspired by the India Blue Peacock. The corset pattern is based off of a tutorial posted by Camilla T. on Cut Out + Keep.
This was a real fun project to do and I like how it turned out. Perhaps it will be my Halloween costume.
If you want to read my drawn out ramblings on this project, it’s posted on my blog

Beautiful! Love your attention to detail. Would make a great Vegas show girl costume too…like in the old days. Much better than ostrich feathers.

I didn’t have Vegas in mind but you do have a point. A giant peacock fan would totally beat out a ostrich fan any day, but probably be a tadbit more expensive. Thanks for commenting on my blog too! :D
