This is based on the “Twinkle Sews” (my new favorite book!) Chameleon Dress.
I love lingerie. My dreams are made of silk chiffon, charmesuse, satin and chantilly lace.
And It’s incredible how little fabric can cost so much!
So a girl’s gotta a do what a girl’s gotta do…
It’s a bit cold in Denver for this kind of sheer skimpy night time attire but I had bought this sheer peach rib knit in L.A. a year or so ago and had never used it.
Perfect for a long flouncy slip!
So after hunting around for the perfect pattern, I settled on the Twinkle Chameleon dress and made some minor changes- turned it into a halter for one.
I finished the hem with a matching peach/blush tulle.
tissue-weight jersey, tulle

Thank you, I got this fabric at Mood Fabrics in LA but I’m pretty sure it was a remnant from a big designer like Helmut Lang or something. Try jobbers maybe?

Was the pattern easy to follow? I just got the book and am eager to give some of the pieces a try.

You know, it could just be me but I find Twinkle patterns hard to follow sometimes (both sewing and knitting). I had a knitter confirm this once when she told me the knitting patterns had lots of mistakes.
A lot of times I don’t even follow sewing instructions; I just use the patterns and make up directions if something confuses me.
I didn’t line this so I improvised.
Also, her patterns in this book don’t have a “test square” like burda patterns so I have no idea if they are even the right size.

Thanks for the input! :) I’ll keep those things in mind when I get around to trying out on of her patterns.
