Burda Style For people who sew
Description
A new dress for my new hair cut!
As you can see by the photos, I was hoping to go out in the sun to take some pictures, but it’s very temperamental weather here at the mo and I got fed up waiting so I just took pictures in my house.
Self drafted bodice and the Marie skirt, which I altered slightly to have the zip at the back and without the waistband. I lined the bodice in contrasting fabric and then used that same fabric to create in seam pockets. Originally, I made this without the lace, but it was a bit to plain for me so I top-stitched the lace on like a thin collar and then added a lace bow just above the zip. The lace reminds me of pouring cream on tinned peaches :)
Material Notes
I’m not sure, feels natural, but has a slight stretch
