Description

This is what I made for my fella for valentine’s day, having a lack of money I couldn’t afford to buy him anything so I had a brain storm and came up with this simple tray which is for him to keep his keys, spare change, phone, etc in.

I made it using quilting squares, bias binding for the edging, some felt between the two square to add stiffness to the bottom of the ‘tray’.

I also embroidered the inside of the tray using the burda valentines stencil as a guide.

I did the embroidery using my straight stitch machine, this was my first attempt at embroidery with the machine I usually do it by hand. It was pretty easy though.

Material Notes

Cotton squares, bias binding, felt, thread

Cool shape! I would like to make a bunch of these as soft dividers inside my lingerie drawer.
