Usually the only pants I make or wear are made out of spandex, so I challenged myself by sewing the High Waist Trousers from burda style magazine’s February issue. I loved the silhouette, and the high waistline. The single welt pockets also intrigued me, so I cut them in black leather so they would stand out…and added studs!
The main fabric is a lovely printed cotton from Spoonflower. I actually found it in the BurdaStyle fabric closet, and I knew I had to make something awesome from it!

Hi! I really want to make these pants. You did an awesome job. Can you tell me, are the pockets put in at the side seam? I can not figure out the pocket directions. I so wish there were photographs. Do you know where I can go to get a tutorial or see photos of this type of installation in process? Or where to get help? Thanks!
