These cute little shorts are from Australian Independant pattern maker Pattern Runway. You can find their patterns on Etsy here.
They have single welt pockets at the back, man-style pockets at the front and a waistband that sits at the waist. The front of the legs have an inverted V shaped scallop, and the back legs are slightly longer.
I made them with a polka-dot printed japanese cotton and used a bit of yellow stretch cotton to cover the piping I used as a contrast at the front pockets.

It looks like you and mr poppykettle are having a wonderful holiday and you look very good in your great shorts. They are a very lovely pair and I love all the detail. I personally think they are nicer than the other ones you want to sew when you get home. I hope you have been able to find some lovely fabrics while you are away- the best souvenirs!!
