Description

As a follow up to my Pattern Magic knot bow dress, I made this Flip Turn dress following the pattern making instruction from Pattern Magic 2. I made a muslin first to test the fit and style. Everything seams to be okay except for the armhole size which I made smaller in the final version. I used a soft cotton hopsack cloth as fashion fabric and black cotton lawn as lining. The dress itself was not challenging to sew but thinking through the sewing process was a welcome challenge. You can see more pictures of the dress on my blog:

Thank you! I’d highly recommend trying it first with paper and muslin, even on half scale!
