Some of my thoughts on making this shirt on my blog here

I am looking for a jacket for my diploma exam for a while. finally I came over your creation and bought the book, because, I think this is what I want. in some way conventional, but also with stylish modern details. I wonder, if it is possible, to keep the two front parts apart and make buttons, instead of the zip in the back. I think it could be difficult to change the jacket quickly with the back zip

Thank you for your comment! Yes, I think it is perfectly possible to have the two fronts separate, and have a hidden button band for closure, in fact if I was making this again this is exactly how I would do it next time.
Good luck with your diploma exam!

Love the crisp, sharp lines and an unusual tie. Gorgeous, as per usual.

So far I have not been tempted by Japanese pattern books (mostly due to already overstuffed todo list)…but this makes me want to go and search the library system Website right now!!!!!

When I opened this I thought it was a jacket. If one added a little length and a little width in the sleeves it easily could be one. The scarf detail is really unusual, but I like it!

Thanks for your comment. You don’t really need to add length for it to be a jacket! I prefer it in the cropped length.
