A very simple pattern, with only one curved seam. Perfect for beginners.
They resemble men’s boxer shorts and they are very easy to sew and comfortable to wear.
I did not Petite-sized them (I am about 1.58 – 5’2’’ high) and they sit just below my navel. However, I shortened them 2 inches at the hem.
I omitted the waist string, the separate waistband and the pockets. I just extended the waistline 6 cm and encased a 3 cm elastic in it. Less is more for me.

I used an old pair of swim shorts that belonged to my dad eons ago. They are a 70% polyester- 30% cotton woven blend. Very easy to sew and to press.
Unfortunately, there was not enough fabric to match the plaids. The original garment did not match them either. Nobody seems to notice this except me but it bugs me!!!
