I made this dress to wear to my cousin’s wedding this summer. I made the pattern to my own measurements based on the dress block from Winifred Aldrich’s “Metric Pattern Cutting for Womenswear”. The skirt has a slight A-line. The bib (geometric petals around a central circle) was inspired by an old patchwork pillow my parents have.
Material Notes
purple cotton poplin, which was easy to work with but creases easily, so not the best fabric for a dress!
