Find a garment that works. I am making mine from a leather jacket that was about to be thrown away by my friend in the middle of a cleaning splurge, that I just couldn’t resist. It’s ultra-soft Italian leather- kind of dusty and faded- but very nice! This is what it looked like to begin with. Not a very flattering shape or fit, so I decided to cut into it! I don’t use even a quarter of the fabric for this project, but I have plans to use the rest up for pencil cases and pouches!
