The topic is utilisation.
It was never my topic. I usually order and buy the fabric for one determined model, I always used to do it that way. In this case it was a rapport purchase. After the completion of the first version I had one meter of fabric left with exactly one rapport. Actually I planned to sew a new shirt with the rest, but then I would have been forced to cut the parrot into pieces. I objected this idea and decided to sew a new beach/city dress for my daughter.
Actually the dress was made without patterns. I just designed the sillhouette lines and the neckline, which is lower on the front side. I also added slits on every side. That gives the dress an individual touch and makes it easier to move with it.

Gorgeous!! Sometimes the fabric does all the talking and you must design and make the most simple and elegant garment, which you have done to perfection for your daughter. Your sewing skills are of the highest standard and I do admire you.
