I was inspired by the dress Angelina wore on the movie “The Tourist-Paris scene” to make my own. I looked up the fabric that the original designer/costumer used & it was Italian Silk. It was my first time sewing with this expensive fabric so I made a muslin first….glad I did! I still had problems, as any experienced seamstress knows this is a difficult material to work with but me being a novice sewist this really was beyond my level. I used a New Look pattern that I already had as it looked similar & it was an easy dress pattern. The hem & sleeves were difficult for me as the fabric seemed to slip through my sewing machine. I love the feel & drape of this dress…it really is a beautiful fabric, I would like to make a top from the leftover fabric I have. I also made the tangerine waist tie. Also on my new blog
Ivory Italian Silk tangerine chiffon

Love your dress. When I saw the film I also fell in love with Angelina’s dress. Your dress fits you really well, and it’s wonderful. It’s inspired me.
