Going through my grandma storage container and saw this lovely print , I quickly asked her for it and with several PLEASE!!! she finally gave it to me. I so wanted to make something very cute out of it, hoping she will not be disappointed. She told me that she got it from her friend who spent two weeks in Paris, hence the name of this project
This is a two piece: a top and a skirt. The top is of a turtleneck collar with a folded effect looking like a wing. It has tucks on the front neck edge and mini raglan sleeves. Invisible zipper at the back.
The skirt is flared with an added asymmetrical front flounce and two side pockets. The skirt is my own draft design and the top was inspired by a dress in BurdaStyle 8/2011.
I think the look is so sophisticated and really portrait how the Paris women would dress. It has class and is very polish. I am really pleased of how the look turned out and really thank my grandma for giving me this lovely fabric.
I think I will make this style again but in a dress instead of separates with very slightly different variations because everybody thinks it is a dress.
