I got this pattern from Mes Carnets de Couture – Dressing Chic (Hachette ed.). The truth is that I bought this book only because of this blazer on the front page. At the time I bought it (2 years ago), I did not know how to sew but I just believed in the THING! (Yes! do believe in your dreams!!!). This Blazer is simple and trendy, with its round collar, and the absence of buttons.
About the fabric > One sentence: Wax is the new Max!! This type of fabric really suits her. As this fabric was a little light, instead of using interfacing to give some body to the fabric, I preferred to use a slightly heavier fabric than the main one. Please note that the type of fabric recommended for this blazer is wool, But heyy come on guys!!!… Let’s be crazy!!!
About the realization > There was no big challenge. I used felt for the elbow area, sewed it on using silver colored thread. I was super excited to sew this blazer.
The result > Beautiful. There is a different effect between wearing the blazer ironed or “crampled”. I am actually using this same pattern to make a more artistic blazer for work, made out of wool and…LEATHER!!! Stay tuned babes!
