Description

I think this was first (and possibly only dress sewing) post wedding dress. What a joy making something with no serious expectations attached!
Would most highly recommend Collete Patterns. Instruction layout is clear and organised in a cute little book. Pattern generally fitted much better than standard commercial, however bust adjustments required. This was not a problem though and aided by the wonderful Gertie’s little tutorial on doing same (there’s a support page attached to her sight with handy tips etc). Also decreased depth of the darts on back of bodice. Also added interfacing to shell fabric, which made it a little more wrinkled than I would have liked.

    Oh what a fun dress and oh so pretty! I just love Colette patterns. Have you seen her new release? It’s a wrap dress and would look so gorgeous in this fabric. Anyway, very nice job on this one, it just looks so lovely on you!
