Description

I made two parasols in my favorite fabrics. The pink one is a birthday gift to my sister. I bought the DIY parasol kits which contained the frame and the instruction. I just sewed my fabrics to make canopies. I really love what I’ve got after struggling with my first DIY parasol experience.

I LOVE the black and white one… makes me want to visit Tokyu Hands. Maybe you didn’t get the kit from there but your gorgeous parasols make me remember all the wonderful things there… thanks for sweet nostalgia and happy memories! Hope your sister was happy with the lovely gift!

That’s so awesome! Umbrellas and parasols are so interesting anyway, in all times and all places. Yours is beautiful. Let me ask you this: Now that you’ve made one from a kit, do you think you would be able to rehabilitate old umbrella frames using new fabric?

Wow, they are beautiful!!! Where did you buy the parasol kits? Did you put something on to make them waterproof or do you just use them for the sun? I like the fabrics too, you got a lucky sister! :-)
