Description

Non stretch satin capri pants refashioned from an old Prince Charming costume.

These are the second pants I have ever made but the firsts with non-stretch fabric. The pattern was a bit loose around the waist but otherwise very easy to sew and fit.

I compiled all the techniques needed for these pants on
my blog

Material Notes

I used 95% of the fabric and the zipper. Plus fusible interfacing, a small piece of white fabric for the waist facing, a hook and an eye.

My sewing machine does not really enjoy satin.

Thank you! I was really afraid of sewing pants. When they turned out wearable I was so happy and grateful that I decided to post them here :)

The pattern recomended a stretch satin. I only had non-stretch satin, but because the pants have some ease and are not skin tight around the thights, knees and calfs I can bend my knees, sit and move around without problems.

However, I have the feeling that a stretch fabric would produce much better results. But such fabric is hard to find where I live, so…

These look great, do you have any stretch in them to bend your knees? X
