I have been long been separated from my sewing equipment due to moving to a different country, so when I went back to UK for Christmas, I was DESPERATE to get some sewing done. To secure maxium sewing success in a limited time frame, I made two dresses, one for day, one for evening, from the same pattern, by using very different types of fabric. The stretch satin one got worn at NYE.
Dark grey wool blend for the day version, blue/grey stretch satin for the evening version.
BWOF magazine Nov ‘08 pattern. I’d seen similar dresses to this in the shops, knew I wouldn’t have to wait long until something similar cropped up, cheers BWOF!
