I desperately needed new winter pyjamas because the weather’s cooling down here and one of the sleeves of my old pyjamas had virtually fallen off. I bought this pandas and aqua check flannelette at Spotlight. The pandas also match my childhood toy, Pandy – unimaginative name, but I got her when I was five – who you can also see in the photos.
The pants are just the same pattern as my Call me Katharine trousers, but without narrowing in for the waist and with elastic instead of buttons. The top was drafted off the top of my old pyjamas. The buttons are from my box of buttons I rescued from my grandma’s, and I think they’re ceramic or possibly shell, they’re very cold to the touch and they aren’t plastic. The buttonholes are hand done.
They’re very soft and cozy, completely childish, and lovely to wear.
2 metres flannelette
50cm non-rolling elastic
