Salt Lake City, ...
3/4 sleeve jacket from Simplicity 2154, same as my last project (stewardess blouse). The cut is a little different from most tops (instead of a seam around the entire arm hole, it has a seam on the shoulder and a several seams in the armpit/side) and was also super baggy and awkward when I first sewed it. I had to take in the top shoulder seam about 2 inches and the neckline about an inch and a half. Consequently, the sleeves and length of the jacket is considerably shorter than on the pattern, but I like it much better. I don’t think this will be getting a lot of rotation, but it is functional enough.
navy blue suiting material (garbadine probably).
Plan a weekend getaway in these sweater dresses and furry accessories.
