I absolutely loved this dress the moment I first saw the preview photos, and I’m so glad this one has the full, illustrated instructions because the draped loop pieces would’ve been really confusing to sew otherwise! But with them, it was really straightforward, though the loop does take quite a bit of invisible handstitches at the very end to ensure the gathers all site nicely.
I scaled this down from the Tall sizing to my normal size, and everything fit nicely in my muslin version apart from the long sleeve, so I ditched the pattern version and drafted my own here instead, which suits me much better!

I like your dress! could you help me out with something? I don’t know how to write the projects name when something I made is based on a Burda pattern. I’ve tried every possible spelling but when I hit the finish button, it says ‘please enter the name of the pattern it is based on’. what I’m I doing wrong? thank you so much

I open up another tab with the pattern name – like one of mine here is named “Metallic Dress 12/2012”. In the box, I type “12/2012” then pause while the list comes up underneath it. Then in this case I’d also add on “metallic” until I see the right dress in the list (it’d be way easier if thumbnails were in the list, too!). Then I select the right pattern from the list, and it’s added onto my project.
I’m using Firefox 17 for OSX, maybe it’s your browser that’s the problem?

Hi ritsel,
I’ve found that pausing definitely helps because it often takes an extra moment for the list to pop up. In order for the pattern to attach properly you must choose from the drop-down list.
Another thing to note is that you can’t include the variation number. Everything else about the title must be identically typed, just leave off the “#_ _ _” at the end.
If you can’t get it to work, shoot me a message and I can add it for you.
To troubleshoot browsing issues you may also want to clear your browsers cookies and cache before restarting your computer. I hope this helps you (and Mary).
Best,
BSS
PS – Stunning project squirrellypoo! I also love the red shoes with the pastel dress. Very feminine and flirty.

I had same problem but i figure it out how to use. you shoul know the name of the burda pattern, when you start to write some letters from the name, automaticly its shown more words, just pick the one who you used as model. thats all what you need!

aha! that solves the problem. I always copied the pattern name and never saw a dropdown list. Just need some more patience!
Thank you all for your kind help!
