I know this can hardly count as a Christmas present for a friend, but it is :)
I just drafted my own patern, rather loose fitted, cause the matterial I’ve used doesn’t strech.
The main part of the gown is pale green and I thought it would be rather boring to leave the armholes and neckline bare, so I’ve attached some light blue, hand made “bias” tape with small flowers (same goes for the hem).
The back is decorated with one button which one is rather unnecessary, because the neckline is rather wide.
Cotton, one button, some elastic.

Ups, I forgot to mention that in the description :)
I used this tutorial:
http://www.burdastyle.com/techniques/sew-neat-tiny-pintucks , but made the pintucks a little bit wider than recomended, so that they would resemble pleats.

Very cute! I’m going to try one of my own tomorrow! What kind of fabric did you use?

It should be a rather qiuck project, then ;)
I used soft cotton, so that it would feel nice close to the body. The flovery matterial was my old shirt (also cotton), which one I’ve used to make a waistband for a skirt as well :)

It looks very vintage. Great idea using handmade bias tape in a floral design to add some flair.
