satin pj set
made using burda’s bra and knickers pattern from last july issue
used the same fabric in dark green color
to make a robe
almost two years ago
and than last summer i found the same fabric in black
and decided to make a pj set to go with the robe
shorts are ridiculously easy
burda’s version have some strange slits at front
i ignored that, and glued two pattern pieces
making it only one piece pattern (cut twice, of course, like liggings pattern
with no side seams)
and elastic waist
top was not that easy
i liked that bustier or a bra or whatever it is pictured with shorts
just decided to transform it into a proper top
wasn’t really successfull at first
i cut the bodice pieces too narrow
and there was no fabric left
so i just abandoned the whole project for a month or two
and than one day it struck me
that i can make a bow tie back instead of invisible zipper one
and a bit later i had my pj set
i’m still not pleased with the way it fits
but i guess i’ll have to make another one
to get it right
also – making and sewing satin bias tape drove me nuts
it’s how i imagine hell!
but somehow, it ended up looking just fine

1.2m satin, elastic for the waist
