Using a pattern from Weekend Sewing, this is the second pair of pajamas I have made. This time I “untapered” the legs a bit to make them more straight legged. I hate tapered pants legs! Especially in a pair of pajamas – I need to be able to itch that itch. I made them drawstring rather than using elastic in the waist. The pattern calls for 2 yards. This underestimates the amount of fabric that is actually needed, especially if you are using fabric that has patterns going 1 way. I’d say for an Adult size Small, you’ll need more than 2 yards (2 yards barely was enough).
