After a (too) long sewing break, I decided to make my dress for my sister’s wedding, back in September. I used a pattern from a Spanish magazine called “Patrones”, from a special edition focused on party/celebration outfits. This specific pattern has a vintage touch combined with some sophisticated details, like raglan, mid-length sleeves.
I just reused the dress for my company’s Christmas party and used the chance to make new pictures, because, believe it or not, I was under such hectic in my sister’s wedding that the day finished and I had not been able to make a decent picture of it!
The fabric is a very nice Paisley printed silk – I bought it in San Sebastian.
- 2.15 m. x 1.40 m. Paisley print silk - Zipper

Thanks!!! Actually, it was my first try at a Patrones’ pattern… I have bought the magazine several times and actually did find a couple of designs I liked, but the instructions are way less detailed than in Burda and that always put me off. For this job, being a beginner-intermediate myself, I had to consult several times on a book or the web for the detailed explanation of what some steps were (like the sleeves…). What I did find is that I did not have to make so many alterations concerning size (they come in 40-44-48 I believe…).

What a beautiful dress. You look lovely in it and the fabric is gorgeous. I visited San Sebastian several years ago and absolutely loved it. My very favourite place in the whole of Spain.
