After seeing Cindy’s beautiful Kasia, I decided to bring out the pattern from the stash and make one for myself.
I love the ruched design, which adds interest to the skirt, and is a little more forgiving to the figure. I omitted the buttons due to preference, but added inner buttons (2) to hold up the front skirt panel.
This project took attention to detail, lots of reading the instruction over & over, and making sure all the pieces line correctly before actually sewing. I like the end product, thank you Cindy for inspiring me.

Oh yay it’s done Mary! You are so quick on finishing it and looking really good! I love the print you chose and the folds. Where do you get your fabric from? I notice you always have some nice fabric on your pieces. Omitting the buttons on the front differently made a difference, it’s more fresh and versatile this way! Congrats on another job well done! :)

Hi Mary! Gorgeous fabric. We are visiting Beijing and Shanghai later this year, so I should really trying to spot a fabric store there too. :) I would LOVE to do projects with you sometimes. Maybe we should set a date to meet after your place is done with remodeling. Still haven’t been to your new place and would love to catch up with you. :)
