Bustier made with a kwik sew pattern 3166. It was modified a little. I added lining to it and shortened it. It has boning and underwire in it.

May I ask what the fabric the linen is? Because the cups look pretty stiff, not at all like a bustier with only one layer :) I’m making a lacers dress and the whole bustier thing is driving me crazy..

The lining is a basic polyester dress lining and the outside fabric is a cotton twill

yes, I used the pattern for stretch fabrics only, I just made it larger than my normal size. I’d suggest using muslin to get the right size.

thanks for posting your project .Do you mind saying which pattern you used and explaining how you modified it I have tried many times to make a bustier like this for my friends prom dress and have never seen one this well done and in the exact shape that I need.

it was kwik sew 3166, Basically I just shortened all the pieces, I created a lining for it, instead of using hook and eyes I used a separating zipper. It is also topstitched.

so amazing! how does it fit? i’ve tried to make a bustier before and i ended up making a top that looks very Madonna-esque. GREAT WORK

it fits very well actually! I didn’t take a pic in it b/c I have terrible tan lines. But the cups aren’t pointy at all.

This is really gorgeous (only wish you had a better pic of it)! Looks Carrie Bradshaw worthy.
