This was my final project in A Level. This corset top is normally accompanied by a tutu and an overskirt. But the whole concept was about the pain ballerinas suffer for their art.
There is a hand-painted rib cage underneath the layer of muslin cloth, which is then machine embroided on top of, but then ripped to unreveal small areas underneath. All seams are revealed for affect, non are hidden. The corset is then laced with ballet ribbons from my own ballet shoes.

Thankyouu :) it was a very personal project and I’m glad the concept was protrayed though to an audience.
